Iraq conflict: Families fleeing for their lives from Sinjar

Ten of thousands of civilians in northern Iraq are fleeing for their lives, desperate to avoid the advance of the Islamic State, formerly known as ISIS.

Many are stranded on a mountainside and have been without food, water and shelter for seven days or more.

There are thought to be 30,000 members of the Yazidi community now in desperate need.
