US airdrops supplies to Kurds fighting IS in Kobane
US military aircraft have dropped supplies to the Kurdish soldiers fighting Islamic State militants in and around Kobane.
They delivered weapons, ammunition and medical supplies provided by Kurdish authorities in Iraq.
American forces have carried out 135 air strikes against the Islamic extremists in the town near the Turkey-Syria border.
