Nimrud: Iraqi troops visit destroyed ancient city

The full scale of the damage done by Islamic State militants to the historic city of Nimrud in northern Iraq is emerging, after government forces recaptured the site two days ago.

The United Nations called the destruction at the time a war crime.

The BBC is the first international broadcaster to reach the scene and see the scale of the damage.
