Andrew Simms: Missed opportunity for green economy

Author, economist and environmentalist Andrew Simms believes that following the 2007-08 financial crisis there was a missed opportunity for countries to re-evaluate their economic policies and promote green stimulus spending.

It was a "great political and economic mistake", he said.

The author of Cancel the Apocalypse added that if people wanted jobs and lower energy bills economies needed to be "re-engineered".
