UN to continue Pakistan flood aid efforts despite Taliban threat

A US official has warned that the Taliban are planning to attack foreigners who are in Pakistan to help the flood relief effort.

The official also says that militants may be planning attacks on Pakistani government officials.

It is now exactly four weeks since the start of the floods, which are continuing to worsen in some areas.

Maurizio Guilliano, spokesman for the UN's Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), told the BBC's Jill McGivering in Islamabad about the effect of the threat on aid distribution.
