Former LA gang member: 'Cricket kept me off the streets'

The Compton cricket club, which includes former gang members and players from LA's toughest neighbourhood, is currently on tour in Australia.

The team was started 15 years ago in an attempt to offer young people an alternative lifestyle to one which involved gangs, guns and drugs.

Team member and former convict Ricardo Salgado spoke to Peter Bowes about how cricket was keeping him on the straight and narrow.
