Bear stuck in a tree rescued by fire service in New Jersey
A black bear has had to be rescued after becoming stuck in a tree in New Jersey.
Drivers had spotted the animal on the side of the road, before it decided to climb the tree and traffic backed up as people slowed down to take a look.
The police, the fire service and local environment officials tranquilised the bear, before attempting to bring him down with some very careful manoeuvres.
DEP spokesman Lawrence Hajna said the bear wasn't injured and was released into an undisclosed wildlife area.
