Endeavour makes its final landing at Kennedy Space Center

Space shuttle Endeavour returned to Earth at the end of its final mission.

Endeavour made an early morning landing at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, touching down at 02:35am local time.

The vehicle is being retired along with the rest of the shuttle fleet.

Upon landing, Commander Mark Kelly said: "It's sad to see her land for the last time, but she really has a great legacy."

Space shuttle Atlantis will be the last orbiter to be launched, with a scheduled lift-off of 8 July.
