Jackson trial: Singer 'caused his own death'

The defence lawyer for Dr Conrad Murray, who is on trial for the involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson, has told a court that the singer caused his own death by taking drugs while his doctor was out of the room.

Ed Chernoff said the star's lorazepam pills and the sedative propofol had created ''a perfect storm in his body''.

Dr Conrad Murray, who was Jackson's personal doctor, denies the charge and the trial continues.
