Tearful Amanda Knox 'overwhelmed' at US return

A tearful Amanda Knox has said she is "overwhelmed" at being back on US soil after her acquittal for the murder of UK student Meredith Kercher.

After leaving Italy and landing at Seattle, she thanked all those who had supported her.

Knox, 24, and ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, 27, were on Monday cleared on appeal of the 2007 killing in the Italian city of Perugia, having spent nearly four years in jail.
