Obama renews healthcare bill promotion

US President Barack Obama has launched a fresh effort to promote his embattled healthcare overhaul law, as problems with its central website persist.

The health policy, widely known as Obamacare, obliges all Americans to take out health insurance or face a fine.

He said it was time to "refocus" on improving the American healthcare system following a wave of negative publicity for the law.
