Nissan reveals new London black taxi cab

The car manufacturer Nissan has unveiled its new Taxi for London on Monday, having adapted an existing van to look more like the city's traditional black cabs.

The new petrol-engine taxi will allow the Japanese group to challenge the London taxi cab market's current duopoly.

Nissan, which already supplies taxis in New York, Barcelona and Tokyo, said the vehicle should be on the streets by the end of the year.
