Christie deputy denies ultimatum
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie's deputy has strongly denied claims that she and the governor threatened to withhold disaster funds from a city hit by superstorm Sandy.
Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno said the allegations made by Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer were "false" and "illogical".
"The suggestion that anyone would hold back Sandy relief funds for any reason is wholly and completely false," Ms Guadagno said.
A spokesman for Mr Christie has also denied the claims.
