Obama: We need Sunni support on fighting IS
President Barack Obama has told reporters his administration is considering a range of options on fighting Islamic State (IS) militants in Syria, including military ones.
But Mr Obama said any such action would be part of a "broader effort" to improve the political and economic stability of Iraq and Syria.
Among those he wanted involved in such an effort were Sunni governments and leaders in the region.
"This cancer that has developed is one that they have to be just as invested in defeating as we are."
