Obama: Ebola epidemic 'spiralling out of control'
US President Barack Obama has announced new support measures that will be put in place to help combat the deadly Ebola virus outbreak in West Africa.
He said the spread of the disease was "spiralling out of control" and posed a potential threat to global security.
Mr Obama confirmed plans to send US troops to the region and new teaching and treatment units to Liberia.
The announcement was made after Mr Obama met officials at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta.
