Cincinnati police chief aims to end racial tension

As America searches for ways to tackle the huge issues surrounding race and policing, one man thinks he has some of the answers.

A walkabout with Cincinnati Police Chief, Jeffrey Blackwell, feels a world away from all the images of confrontation between officers and protestors that America has seen of late.

"We want our officers to have more compassion for people, especially people who need us the most," he says.

"And those are generally people who are black, people of colour and people in inner-city America."
