Baltimore Freddy Gray case: Six officers charged

Six Baltimore police officers accused in the death of US man Freddie Gray have been charged by a grand jury, the state prosecutor has confirmed.

Marilyn Mosby announced the revised charges on Thursday, but the most serious charges - including second-degree murder - remained.

Mr Gray suffered a severe spinal cord injury in police custody in April and died a week later, prompting weeks of protests in the city.
