California is in the middle of a historic drought, with homes and businesses being asked to take drastic measures to save water.

Restaurants are only serving water upon request, while surfers are leaving their wetsuits on the beach well into autumn.

BBC Pop Up video journalist Matt Danzico hit the streets of Southern California to see what Los Angeles residents have to say about how climate change is affecting their daily lives.

COP 21 - the 21st session of the Conference of the Parties - will see more than 190 nations gather in Paris to discuss a possible new global agreement on climate change, aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions to avoid the threat of dangerous warming due to human activities.
