US blizzard : 'New Yorkers do it better'

The day after the blizzard, New Yorkers and tourists were all out since the morning in Manhattan enjoying the snow and ignoring the freezing wind.

James Graff, a New York resident who was cross-country skiing in Central Park, says this is typical of New York.

"New York loves to take advantage of stuff like this. We watch people in DC faltering over an inch of snow and we think: we can do better."
