Florida nightclub shooting: Police confirm multiple deaths

Police in Florida say there have been multiple deaths after a gunman attacked a gay nightclub in the Florida city of Orlando.

Officers engaged in a gun battle with the shooter who took hostages inside the Pulse nightclub, Orlando Police Chief John Mina said.

The attacker was said to be carrying a rifle, a handgun and "some type of device". He is now dead.
