Timelapse captures sandstorm engulfing Phoenix
A dust wall pushed by thunderstorms, also called a haboob, blew over the Phoenix area on Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
Haboobs are unexpected, unpredictable and can sweep across Arizona's desert landscape at any time.
