Historically high ocean temperatures are threatening a colossal coral die-off in the Florida Keys. But scientists are fighting to stop it.
Marine researchers expect the record-breaking hot water to last through September. To protect healthy corals, they are relocating them to deeper waters. Ken Nedimyer, coral restoration pioneer, and Katey Lesneski, research and monitoring coordinator, explained how coral may survive in the future.
