The retailer says the move will make it the UK's highest-paying supermarket chain
The increase will mean that from March 2022 the minimum wage for Lidl's supermarket and warehouse staff will go up from £9.50 an hour to £10.10 an hour. The retailer says the move will make it the UK's highest-paying supermarket chain. Head of HR Nan Gibson says part of the reason for the announcement was to retain existing employees and to attract new staff.
