The songs are over, the band's off and the curfew is fast approaching.

All that is left to say as the last rattles of Noel's guitar echo into the night sky and Liam heads off with his shoulders up and head down is thank you all for joining us for a fantastic day in the history of both Oasis and their hometown Manchester.

It has been a hot one, a frantic one, a worthwhile one and, most of all, an epic one - and we've had every part of it here, so feel free to scroll back and relive the whole thing all over again.

If you're looking for more Oasis fun, have a listen to Mad For Oasis, external, an exclusive series for BBC Sounds presented by Noel's daughter, Anaïs Gallagher, which finds the surprising ways Oasis and their music has touched the lives of fans.

As for me, someone asked me earlier if I'd like to work another day like this, revelling in the splendour of Oasis and the brilliance of Manchester.

    I said maybe...

It's arms in the air one more time, this time for Champagne Supernova.

There’s a chill going down my spine and it’s not just because the temperature has dropped significantly in the last 30 minutes.

A huge burst of fireworks went off behind the stage to a big round of applause from the crowd.

  3. Liam and Noel hand-in-handpublished at 22:14 British Summer Time 11 July

Oasis's team at Big Brother Recordings have sent over footage of Liam and Noel's arrival on stage earlier. It's fair to say it was an emotional moment all round.

Or as Liam would put it... biblical.

  4. Wonderwallpublished at 22:12 British Summer Time 11 July

Now it's Wonderwall. The acoustic ballad, which takes its title from Beatle George Harrison's first solo album in 1968, was written by Noel Gallagher for his now ex-wife Meg Mathews.

  7. The band walks offpublished at 21:51 British Summer Time 11 July

    James Dawson
BBC North West, Social Media Lead

The band have walked off stage to encores of "one more song".

One person even shouts: "Ten more songs".

They could manage plenty more than that.

  8. 'You wanna try being in the band'published at 21:49 British Summer Time 11 July

    James Dawson
BBC North West, Social Media Lead

"Listen up beautiful people this is going to be our last song," says Liam

"Thanks for sticking with us. I know we are difficult, but you wanna try being in the band."

He launches into Rock N Roll star...but it's clearly not their last song. They haven’t done Don’t Look Back In Anger, or Wonderwall.

A wide shot of the crowd.
  9. Whatever, up nextpublished at 21:45 British Summer Time 11 July

The band take the crowd on a trip back to Christmas 1994 with their first ever non-album single, Whatever.

Like plenty of their music, this track went platinum, and reached number three in the UK singles chart.

They were beaten to the top spot by East 17's Stay Another Day.

  10. Stand By Mepublished at 21:36 British Summer Time 11 July

Liam shouts: "Right you beautiful people, I want you singing along to this one," before he launches into Stand By Me.

The 1997 track was on the fourth Oasis album Be Here Now. They've played the chorus what feels like eight times, and people are still doing their job and singing along.

  12. 'Respect for Richard Ashcroft'published at 21:28 British Summer Time 11 July

    James Dawson

Cast No Shadow begins, and Noel dedicates it to the man he wrote it for - "the one and only Richard Ashcroft".

The former The Verve frontman said the demo of the song inspired him.

Noel is also doing a great job of hitting the high notes - both he and Liam have kept their voices in good nick ahead of tonight's show.

  13. Noel responds to booingpublished at 21:14 British Summer Time 11 July

    James Dawson
BBC North West, Social Media Lead

Liam reappears to join the action and just before they begin, Noel announces he'd like to dedicate the next song, D'You Know What I Mean, to "the greatest manager of all time, Pep Guardiola”.

There's a mixed reception to the statement.

    "Who you booing?" Noel asks.

  14. Little By Littlepublished at 21:10 British Summer Time 11 July

Most of the tracks so far have been from Oasis's 90s catalogue, but Noel has now turned to Little By Little, from the 2002 album Heathen Chemistry.

He's suggested in the past the vocals were originally meant to be sung by Liam.

  15. Liam goes full Liampublished at 21:08 British Summer Time 11 July

    James Dawson
BBC North West, Social Media Lead

Liam's been beefing with someone down at the front for a few songs and it all blew up before he left the stage.

He was clear, in the way you'd expect, that he was not impressed with the guy's approach to the gig and was letting him know in typically Liam language.

Obviously, we can't repeat it here, but safe to say, he wasn't keen on the gentleman and would prefer him to go away...

    Or words to that effect.

Surprisingly, the back and forth made him the most lairy person here by far. Overall, it's good vibes all the way.

  16. For Craig and Caroline`published at 21:06 British Summer Time 11 July

Noel has just dedicated Half The World Away to Royle Family stars Craig Cash and Caroline Aherne.

The song was used as the theme tune for the beloved BBC sitcom, featuring Ricky Tomlinson and Sue Johnston.

Cash told the BBC this week how the song came to be used for the show.

Noel has previously dedicated the song to Aherne, a close friend and "very, very funny woman".

She died of cancer in July 2016, aged 52.

  20. 'The boss is here tonight!'published at 20:44 British Summer Time 11 July

    James Dawson
BBC North West, Social Media Lead

Noel Gallagher announces from the stage he is well aware "the boss" Pep Guardiola is watching tonight.

The Manchester City manager was spotted earlier with younger members of the Gallagher family.

The crowd begins the club's Poznan dance and Noel suggests Manchester United fans should join in as they’ve “not had a lot to celebrate recently”.

A wide shot of the crowd.
