The sun is quickly setting in the UK, with streets soon to become a whole lot spookier.

But for Marie, Halloween is celebrated all year round.

Every room in her home is filled with trinkets, toys and decorations. Even the bathroom.

"I am completely Halloween-ified," Marie says. "It's the only time of year I feel normal."

Whether it's just for tonight, tomorrow, or all year round - we want to see your Halloween collection. Costumes, decorations, pumpkins - the lot.

To the untrained eye, they look like Halloween costumes. The dates also coincide with Halloween.

But it's not.

In the North Yorkshire town of Whitby, locals mark a different occasion by dressing up in eye-catching outfits over several days in October.

The Whitby Goth Weekend is a twice-yearly music festival in Whitby, a seaside town of 13,000 in the north of England.

The event celebrates the goth and alternative subcultures.

A highlight of each year's Halloween calendar is Heidi Klum’s star-studded party, where the supermodel shows off her elaborate, high-concept costumes.

Past looks have included ET, Jessica Rabbit and, perhaps most famously, a worm.

She always keeps her costume a secret, so we'll only find out what she's wearing this year in New York tonight.

But the prosthetics specialist she works with says it'll be the most complex yet.

Mike Marino says he's been working on this one for almost five months with a team of more than 35 people.

"This year in particular is so absolutely, mind-blowingly elaborate," he tells me. "It’s beyond a movie creature."

Nearly all of Klum’s costumes have taken many months to make.

"Every year it’s like, how do you top this thing?" Marino says.

"This year's is one of my favourite things that ever existed. It’s an absolute fanboy, fangirl favourite. This one is the best."

Let’s be honest - not all Jack-o’-lanterns are carved equal.

Take this masterpiece that Kathy Smith in Nottingham has sent in. She’s carved a detailed scene into an enormous pumpkin, complete with haunted house, possessed trees, and ghoulish apparitions.

"Happy Halloween!" she says. "This Giant Atlantic Pumpkin was home grown on our allotments."

The variety, known as Cucurbita maxima, is among the largest, with diameters sometimes exceeding 1.8m (5.9ft), according to the Royal Horticultural Society.

Kathy tells us she only has one small section left to carve before she can put it out on display for her children.

"I hope it will inspire them to grow their own (a giant one) in the future," she adds.

Bravo, Kathy.

Before you unleash a gourd-awful kitchen disaster, here’s a quick guide to doing it right.

1. Choose the right pumpkin: Go for pumpkins with a healthy orange colour all over and steer clear of any with bruises or patchy colouring
2. Cut the lid: Angle the knife towards the centre of the pumpkin top to keep the lid in place. Cutting a six-sided shape rather than a circle might make life easier
3. Clean it: Here comes the mess. Scoop out the pulp with a wooden spoon. Where you plan to carve the face, scrape away the pulp until the wall is about 3cm (1.2in) thick
4. Face time: A handy tip for designing the face is to draw it on paper first and attach it to the pumpkin. Then, use a toothpick to prick holes along the lines, leaving a dotted outline of the face when the paper comes off
5. Carve it: Gently cut the shapes out with a pointed, serrated-edge knife, taking your time to avoid snapping bits off the pumpkin. Once you’re done, rubbing the insides with diluted bleach (1:5 ratio) will keep it fresh for a few days
6. Let there be light: You can fashion a basic candleholder from kitchen foil, or use a tea light secured at the base of the pumpkin. Cut a small chimney hole in the lid to let heat and smoke escape - and remember, never leave a naked flame unattended

One final thing - if you’re one of our younger readers, make sure you have an adult lending a hand!

That's a wrap. Dani Diston, Minah Shannon and Alyx Holcombe have bagged the winner’s crown on BBC Radio 1’s The Traitors.

In case you missed it, every year the station hosts a Halloween game - and this time, they went for an adaptation of the hit BBC show, The Traitors.

But there was a twist: at the start, not a single traitor was skulking among the faithfuls - instead, the audience got to choose which presenter met their untimely end. It was only in the latter part of the game that a presenter, Melvin Odoom, was recruited (and, in the end, exposed and expelled).

As the three presenters wrapped up the show, they remained blissfully unaware that the real culprits behind the murders were sitting right in the audience.

That's the end for them, but for many of us, Halloween festivities are only just getting started!

As darkness creeps across the country, plenty of you are gearing up for a night of trick-or-treating.

Minah - a Traitors veteran - is so worked up that her hands are shaking as she takes in the news.

There's applause as the remaining presenters all reveal they're faithfuls.

But there's a twist left in the tale, as Greg is about to reveal...

It's fitting, says Greg-Glaudia. Perhaps friendships and professional relationships will be irreversibly affected by today.

Melvin Odoom gets votes from all three remaining faithfuls and is banished from the Live Lounge.

He reveals himself as a traitor and there are roars of celebration.

"We're done...are we?" says Minah.

The final four have three minutes to decide whether victory lies with the traitors or the faithful.

"It's Melvin," Dani Diston bluntly - and correctly - says.

Minah Shannon agrees.

Suddenly, Alyx Holcombe does too.

Dani explains this by saying she saw Melvin alone in a room during the game.

And yet, no one seems able to say for sure.

Greg leaves them to decide.

Votes are pending.

It's make or break.

There's another faithful to mourn in the Live Lounge castle, and this time it's James Cusack.

"I still don't think the traitor is in the room," James says, referring to his earlier correct theory about listeners acting as traitors.

That leaves us with our final four: Minah Shannon, Alyx Holcombe, Danni Diston, and the sole in-lounge traitor Melvin Odoom.

The end is nigh.

It's time for what could be the final murder.

Listeners are sharing who they think should see their last day in the Live Lounge.

Listener Matt originally wanted to suggest killing presenter Matt Edmondson. But he has already been banished - so instead, he is avenging his death by going for Minah Shannon.

Lou, another listener, argues that it's clearly James Cusack who has got to go, since he has detected the role that Radio 1 listeners are playing.

Katie, who was previously supporting Matt, says it's time for Alyx Holcombe to feel the wrath of the traitors.

Everyone except James Cusack received at least one vote during this roundtable vote count.

But it was Matt Edmondson, who reached two votes, who has now been banished.

He echoes fellow faithful Dean McCullough's words that his fellow contestants aren't playing well enough.

When Matt reveals his loyal allegiance - one he said he had before even being given it - a presenter shouts: "It's Melv!"

Whether that theory materialises is another question.

There are fewer people around this fourth roundtable, yet somehow it's got rowdier.

Essentially, everyone has got some sort of heat on them.

Matt Edmondson and seasoned traitor - now faithful - Minah Shannon are at each other's necks.

"I am not having this," a frustrated Minah says.

Meanwhile, Melvin Odoom, the sole traitor in the room, is taking the opportunity to dig at teary-eyed Danni Diston.

But one person is looking beyond the table, choosing to think outside the Live Lounge.

"The traitors are elsewhere...we've got this so wrong. It could be Radio 1 listeners," says James Cusack.

He is the first presenter to explicitly suspect the audience.

The vote count is still to come, but it looks like it could go in any direction.

Garlic dip, crystals, or potato wedges?

These are just some of the theories from faithfuls trying to work out how a double murder has been committed in plain sight.

Overwhelmed by all the speculation, presenter Danni Diston starts to cry and asks for a hug from "Aunty Glaudia" - Greg James.

He doesn't offer much comfort, saying: "Are those real tears? Just want to leave that with you."

And that's where things are left until the next roundtable.

At least, that's the case with co-presenters Nat O'Leary and Vicky Hawkesworth.

By order of the traitors, they've been murdered by Melvin Odoom in plain sight with just a tap on the shoulder.

Through the looking glass into the radio studio, I can see that Greg has put on the Claudia wig again - a sure sign that things are getting serious.

Did Melvin manage to murder Vicky and Nat in plain sight?

Betrayal is brewing in the bathroom.

Newly-recruited traitor Melvin Odoom is speaking on Radio 1 from the toilet.

Maybe the nerves have got to him.

"I only really like this game as a faithful. I'm so stressed out right now," he tells Greg James who - for those not listening - is not in the toilet, as far as we know.

Greg tells Melvin he must commit a double murder of Nat O'Leary and Vicky Hawkesworth by tapping them on the shoulder.

"That's too obvious," complains Melvin.

"If I know anything about you, it's that you like doing things obviously," Greg says, referring to Melvin's earlier blunder at the round table, where he basically revealed he was a traitor.

He better not get bogged down now.
