    TV cook Delia Smith will join Ed Miliband on the campaign trail after giving her backing to Labour. Writing in the Daily Mirror, , externalshe said the NHS was in "huge danger".

    "What I believe profoundly is the party that campaigned for and created the NHS will be the best one to nurture and sustain it for the future. We cannot afford to allow it to fall into the wrong hands. And we cannot afford to see the NHS privatised or run like a supermarket. That would be a recipe for disaster."

    Delia will join Mr Miliband and shadow chancellor Ed Balls on in Brighton.

    David Cameron's advisers believe that fewer than 100,000 votes in a handful of seats are key to the Conservatives winning the election on Thursday, reports the Telegraph, external. The party has a list of 23 target seats, which will attract the focus of strategists and door-knockers alike in the final days of the campaign, the newspaper says. Many of the seats are currently held by the Lib Dems, it adds.
