As the first regional AMs are announced - here is what you need to know:
Parties nominate lists of candidates to put to the electorate in the regions.
Four AMs in each of the five regions will be elected:
• South Wales East - including the constituencies of Newport West, Newport East, Blaenau Gwent, Torfaen, Monmouth, Merthyr Tydfil and Rhymney, Caerphilly and Islwyn.
• South Wales Central - including the Cardiff seats, Vale of Glamorgan, Cynon Valley, Rhondda, and Pontypridd.
• South Wales West - including Aberavon, Gower, Neath, Bridgend, Ogmore, Swansea East and Swansea West.
• North Wales - including Aberconwy, Alyn and Deeside, Arfon, Clwyd South, Clwyd West, Delyn, Vale of Clwyd, Wrexham and Ynys Mon.
• Mid and West Wales - including Brecon and Radnorshire, the Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire seats, Ceredigion, Montgomeryshire and Dwyfor Meirionnydd.
We have a 10 minute warning folks until we find out who the South East Wales regional list Assembly Members will be.
BBC Wales reporter Peter Shuttleworth
There are 26 hardy souls remaining at Newport Velodrome for the South East Wales regional list.
Unlike in Rhondda, there have been no surprises as both Newport East and Newport West returned Labour AMs.
But the regional list is where it might get interesting as UKIP are targeting this one with Mark Reckless as candidate - and he reckons they will beat their pre-election target of five seats.
