05:20 GMT 13 December 2019The SNP has made big gains across Scotland, with Nicola Sturgeon saying the country had sent a "clear message" on a second independence referendum.
The party defeated Liberal Democrat leader Jo Swinson in Dunbartonshire East after overturning a majority of 5,339.
SNP candidates have also won several seats from the Conservatives and Labour across Scotland.
Ms Sturgeon said the results had exceeded her expectations.

"The Labour party is about the wider social context. It is not about flag-waving. It's about caring for people. It is about making sure injustices are remedied," she said.
Ms Laird was beaten by Neale Hanvey, who was suspended as the SNP candidate after allegations he tweeted anti-Semitic social media posts.
