  18. Analysis from inside Clinton HQpublished at 06:47 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2016

    Kim Ghattas
    BBC Correspondent

This was not the night any of Clinton's supporters expected at the rally venue, and certainly not the one the campaign was planning.

They were upbeat on the last day of campaigning, telling me things looked "more than good". There's always spin when covering politics but this seemed genuine confidence.

We've not heard anything from campaign aides for the last four hours but people close to the campaign tell me everyone is still putting on a brave face. A few weeks ago, a Clinton aide told me they were confident of a win and if they lost, then "I don't know this country anymore".

And that is one of the questions that will weigh on their minds tonight regardless of the result: how could they have misread the mood to this extent?

It started with underestimating the Sanders phenomenon. One aide did recognise it, telling me "there is a lot of anger out there", but perhaps this was not fully understood by the whole team. And while no one seemed to take a victory for granted they were haunted by the idea of losing, not just to anyone, but to Trump.

  19. Trump projected to win Pennsylvania - Associated Presspublished at 06:42 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2016

    That's 20 electoral votes.

Pennsylvania is a key battleground which has swung for the Democrats in the previous six elections, although by a reduced margin in the last election.

If it's true, Trump just needs six more electoral votes to win the presidency.

We still haven't heard from ABC News.
