More than 2,000 homes were left without power in Highland, Aberdeenshire, Moray and Angus because of high winds, snow and fallen trees.
A total of 29 schools also closed across Scotland.
Met Office weather warnings are still in place for many parts of Scotland, with motorists facing road closures in Perthshire and the Borders.
A spokeswoman for the Met Office said the worst affected areas had been in the north of the country, where 18cm of snow was recorded in Inverness-shire.
She added: "It's going to be another cold day and night and there's a chance of seeing snow in Aberdeenshire tonight."
The latest information from the Suffolk Resilience Forum says there are about 1,880 properties at high risk of flooding.

Cross-Channel rail operator Eurostar cancelled two trains between London and Paris due to "weather conditions" in south-east England and northern France.
A spokeswoman for the firm said all affected passengers were offered seats on other trains.
A Suffolk landlady has been up all night trying to find a safe haven for her livestock.
Teresa Cook's pub, the Crown Inn at Snape, was flooded in 2013.
"[We've got] a pedigree herd of Gloucester Old Spot pigs that are free range," she said. "We've been struggling for somewhere for them to go but this morning I've had an offer [of a place] for them."
