    Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny has said that one of the London attackers, who is thought to have lived in the Republic of Ireland, was not being monitored by police.

    Speaking in Chicago, Mr Kenny said that a small number of people in Ireland were "being monitored and observed in respect of radicalisation" but it was his understanding this man "was not a member of this small group".

    A Spanish man caught up in the attacks is still missing, Spanish media reports.

    The Spanish Red Cross has released photos and information about what Ignacio Echeverria, 39, was wearing at the time of the attack.

    He is described as around 5ft 8ins tall, and was wearing jeans, size 7.5 Vans black trainers and a dark top.

    According to reports Mr Echeverria is a skateboarding enthusiast who works at HSBC.

    • Seven people were killed and 48 injured in the London Bridge and Borough Market area of central London on Saturday. Theresa May said the victims included a "number of nationalities"
    • Police say they know the identity of the three attackers, shot dead by officers, and said their names would be released "as soon as operationally possible"
    • Security sources in Dublin have said one of the attackers was carrying an identification card issued in the Republic of Ireland when he was shot dead
    • Police said 11 people are being held following raids in Newham and Barking, east London
    • One of the raided properties is believed to be the home of one of the attackers
    • NHS England said 36 people remained in hospital, with 18 in a critical condition
    • Canadian national Chrissy Archibald, 30, was the first victim to be named
    • Foreign minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said a French national was was also killed in the attack
    • A vigil will be held at 18:00 BST at Potters Field Park near London Bridge to remember the victims

    A high-level security meeting has been held at Garda headquarters in the Republic of Ireland following the discovery of a possible connection to one of the London attackers, Irish broadcaster RTE is reporting, external.

    Documentation found on one of the men shot dead on Saturday night has indicated that he lived in Ireland for a time, it says.

    Irish police are said to be investigating the residence and marital status of a Moroccan man who was married to a woman from Scotland.

    The Head of Islamic Studies at Quilliam, the counter-extremism organisation, believes it is significant that the London attack happened during the holy month of Ramadan.

    Usama Hasan, who is also an Imam, told Radio 4's World at One that for more than a billion Muslims, Ramadan is a month for fasting, worship and charity, but the terrorists chose it "to increase their fervour and fanaticism".

    He also said that although the government's Prevent strategy was not perfect, there would be more, not fewer attacks without it and he called on Muslim leaders to be "openly part of the national counter terrorism strategy, as equal citizens loyal to Britain".

    Actress Maureen Lipman, who is currently appearing in Lettuce and Lovage at the Menier Chocolate Factory near Borough Market, was caught up in the attack.

    Speaking to Jo Good, she said: "We were told we had to stay in the theatre and the audience had to stay in the theatre because there had been an incident…

    "I thought right away, 'oh my God, they’ve done it again'. But, everybody was very calm as they always are.

    "We’d finished. We were getting dressed. We queued and we waited and then I tried, rather sneakily to get out the side door but a policeman barked at me, God bless him.

    "My car was next door. It still is. I can’t get it because it’s in the car park next door. It’s going to be quite a bill."

    A man who became an unlikely national hero after fleeing from the attacks still clutching his pint is believed to be from Merseyside, external.

    A photo circulated online shows the man, who the Echo understands is Paul Armstrong from Maghull, running to safety while still holding onto his drink.

    A relative of Paul said on Facebook that he had held onto the pint because of "unreasonably high prices in the capital".

    The message reads: “So that guy with the pint? Yes, that’s the elusive Paul Armstrong. That’s what happens when you’re a Scouser paying London pint prices.”

    US President Donald Trump has again criticised London Mayor Sadiq Khan.

    Following on from the attack in London Bridge, Mr Khan said there was no reason to be alarmed over an increase in police officers on the streets.

    Mr Trump then tweeted: "At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is "no reason to be alarmed!"

    Following that message, Mr Khan's spokesman said the president had "deliberately taken out of context" remarks to reassure Londoners.

    Police say they know the identity of the three attackers.

    Michael Mimbo lives in a house opposite the block of flats in Barking where it is believed one of the attackers lived.

    He told Radio 4 reporter Manveen Rana "it made sense to me that it was him" and that he believes he saw the van used in the attack in the area "a couple of days before".
