  11. 'A line was drawn yesterday'published at 22:41 British Summer Time 18 May 2018

Royal correspondent Nicholas Witchell told BBC News at Ten how the Royal Family regained control after the mishaps before tomorrow's wedding.

"Many families have issues, even the Windsors have issues. Many weddings have bumpy moments, and we’ve seen evidence of both this week," he said.

"There were moments when Kensington Palace was in danger of losing control of things, but nobody wanted to bring clarity to this than the royal household. I think a line was drawn yesterday.

"And now Prince Charles has this great opportunity to be seen by the watching world very publicly to be welcoming Meghan Markle to the British Royal Family."

He said that Ms Markle will enter the chapel on Saturday through the Great West Door, initially accompanied by the 10 bridesmaids and pageboys.

Then, at the screen separating the nave from the quire - the chapel's most historic section - Prince Charles will join her and escort her to where Harry will be waiting for his bride.

  19. Who will change - Meghan or the royals?published at 20:57 British Summer Time 18 May 2018

    Jonny Dymond, BBC royal correspondent

Every royal wedding is an opportunity, in some way, to relaunch the Royal Family.

It is an opportunity to say: "This is who the Royal Family are these days."

And this royal wedding is different - in size and style. and in the bride herself.

That she is, in her own words, "biracial" - that her mother is African American - is breathtaking, some might say revolutionary, for the Royal Family.

And there's more. She's had a job, and is an outspoken feminist.
