    East Riding of Yorkshire Council has paid £100,000 in sponsorship to be involved in this year's Tour de Yorkshire.

    But the authority says the event generates £50m for Yorkshire's economy - and they want a slice of that again next year.

    The council's leader, Stephen Parnaby, says "there's no question about the fact that we'll be bidding."
