    After a thrilling women's race it's over to the men.

    Stage Two is due to start in Otley at 2.20pm.

    The riders will face the same 136km course, external the women have just completed.

    Sir Gary Verity has told BBC Look North's Tanya Arnold he is 'devastated' that problems with the TV plane meant there was no coverage of the women's race.

    The race had been due to be shown live on ITV4 from 10.00am.

    ITV Cycling tweeted, external at about 10.45am that it hoped to have a new plane in time for the men's race.

    We'll turn our attention to the upcoming men's race for the moment.

    Sir Bradley Wiggins was grabbing his fair share of attention on Stage One of the men's race - and why wouldn't he, he's won the Tour de France AND seven Olympic medals.

    But, with him out of the race if you're looking for a local rider to support there are several from Yorkshire to cheer on.

    Leed's Liam Holohan is part of Team Wiggins, while Josh Edmondson, also from Leeds, will be riding for NFTO. Fellow West Yorkshire cyclist, Tom Moses, from Keighley, rides for JLT Condor.

    South Yorkshire will be well represented too, with JLT Condor's Russell Downing (Rotherham) and Graham Briggs (Doncaster) lining up alongside Madison Genesis rider Tom Stewart (Doncaster).

    As well as the prestige of being crowned winner there's also a healthy win bonus for the first female rider to cross the line in Doncaster. In fact, the £15,000 first prize is the most lucrative in women's cycling.

    When the bumper payout was announced Sir Gary Verity, chief executive of race organisers Welcome To Yorkshire said: "We're trying to seismically change the sport.

    "If you won all three stages of the men's race and you took the general classification money as well, you would still be 40% worse off than the winner of the women's race. So that's a big difference."

    Before you ask, and, yes, I was wondering just the same thing, there is a very simple explanation for all the French names.

    According to Welcome to Yorkshire it is all down to the fact the race is owned by the Amaury Sports Organisation, a French company based in Paris.

    A spokesman said: "It therefore has a French name and some of the key climbs have been given a French name as a nod to the French origins of the race."

    Pupils at Mayflower Primary School in Bawtry got in to the spirit of the Tour de Yorkshire as the excitement built ahead of Stage Two.

    Dozens of pupils created this incredible piece of visual art which was then filmed from above using a drone.

    The women's race is set to come through Bawtry between 11.35am and 11.56am while the men are due to arrive between 5.00pm and 5.18pm
