The riders may still be nearly two hours away but Sprotbrough, in South Yorkshire, is busy getting ready for their arrival.
BBC Radio Leeds' Peg Alexander was at the start line as the 2016 women's Tour De Yorkshire began in Otley.
They're not hanging about today.That's 9km down already - only 127km to go.
But not for the riders - this team are a little further down today's route.
Otley's own cycling champion Lizzie Armitstead is in there somewhere

The women riders have set off from Otley
Paralympic champion Dame Sarah Storey was in Yorkshire on Tuesday to take a look at the route ahead of what will be her first race of the season.
Quote Message"I am excited to start my season here, I have chosen to wait until the middle of the spring because there is so much racing for me this year and I want to still be firing on all cylinders in the autumn when we hopefully will be in Rio [for the Olympics] and Qatar for the [Road World Championships]."
Dame Sarah Storey
British cycling legend Brian Robinson, from Mirfield, has given his backing to the Tour de Yorkshire.
In 1955 he became the first Briton to finish the Tour de France and in 1958 was the first to win a stage.
He told BBC Radio Leeds: "It's nice to see that we've got this Tour de Yorkshire, which is the legacy of the Tour de France, going from strength to strength."
Lizzie Armitstead said it would be a "dream come true" to ride in the world champion's rainbow jersey as the women's Tour de Yorkshire departs her home town of Otley.
Speaking to BBC Radio York on Friday she said: "I never expected to compete at home in a UCI women's race - let alone as world champion.
"It's my first race in the UK in the rainbow jersey and it'll be wonderful."
Crowds are gathering at the ceremonial start line in Otley where the riders will set off from at 08:15 before the racing proper starts at around 08:30.
