Southern's Passenger Services Director Angie Doll had this message for the unions when she was interviewed at Horsham station this morning.
Southern says the early morning trains were driven by drivers and managers.
The company says it plans to operate eight trains in each direction in the morning and during peak hours between Caterham and the capital.
These trains are driver-only operated. But the company normally operates more than 2,200 trains a day, carrying 300,000 passengers.
