Quote MessageThe state of the poor ponies was awful, but to then make the discovery of the donkeys was shocking - their hooves were some of the longest I’ve ever seen.
Insp Samantha Weston, RSPCA
But there was a happy ending for six of the animals, they're now doing well in the care of Donkey Sanctuary and World Horse Welfare.

More on the news that Australian Geoff Toovey, former coach of Manly Sea Eagles, has been named as coach of the reformed Bradford RL side.
Toovey won 18 Australia caps in total. That's a tally that was artificially boosted by the fact he played for the ARL-loyal Manly at the time of the Super League war but he was a class act.
As a player and coach he's been a one club man so far.
Coincidentally, his first competitive match in charge of Manly took place just a few miles down the road from Bradford - the 2012 World Club Challenge against Leeds at Headingley.
Toovey's appointment appears to be out of the blue. He has no working knowledge of the English game, especially at Championship level.
But the link is Bulls' new co-owner Graham Lowe, another former Manly coach and legend.

Bradford Bulls were liquidated at the start of the month and the new club will start the Championship season with a 12-point deduction.
