    CrossCountry Trains tell us that trains are at a standstill between Sheffield and Wakefield Westgate due to emergency services dealing with an incident at Thurnscoe.

  3. WEATHER: Cloud, mist, rain but getting drier this afternoon

    Cloudy and misty through the morning with outbreaks of rain and drizzle, and fog on the hills.

    Drier and brighter conditions will spread from the west in the afternoon, but probably not reaching eastern areas until evening.

    Tonight there'll be patchy light rain or drizzle may linger overnight in some eastern parts, otherwise dry with light winds, leading to a local frost and some patchy mist or fog.

  4. Man missing after accident in North Yorkshire

    Police say they're concerned about Terrence Beadle, aged 74, who's gone missing missing following an accident near Marton-Le-Moor which happened 18:30 last night.

    They're asking for the public's help in trying to find him.

  5. Traffic and travel: Planned industrial action on trains

    There is planned industrial action today as RMT members at five rail operators walk out for the second time this week. Northern says the majority of available trains will be between 0700 and 1900.
