    A new flood warning has been put in place for Newport Pagnell, where levels are rising on the River Great Ouse and River Ouzel, the Environment Agency, external has said.

    Flood warnings remain in place for the Great Ouse from Buckingham into Milton Keynes and at Riseley in North Bedfordshire.

    A warning also remains in place at Riseley in North Bedfordshire.

    Milton Keynes Council is urging motorists not to ignore "road closed" signs - but train services north of the new city are expected to return to normal this morning.

    A school in Dunstable has been defending its warning to give toast to children whose parents haven't paid for their meals.

    As first reported in the Dunstable Gazette, external, some parents at Lancot Lower School, external are behind on payments.

    The Challenger Multi Academy Trust, external, which runs the school, told BBC Three Counties Radio its catering company is owed about £1,000 for meals taken by children, for which payment has yet to be made. It said some parents owed in excess of £100.
