    I'm at the Watford press conference where manager Quique Sanchez Flores was in a typically relaxed mood when discussing reports about his contract, and whether he had spoken to the club about extending his deal which has another season to run.

    A bank in Dunstable was robbed at lunchtime yesterday in what police are calling "a very disturbing robbery".

    Police say the man went into HSBC in West Street at about 13:00 where he threatened staff and demanded cash.

    The man, described as mixed race, in his early 20s and of average build, took cash and made off on foot. He was wearing black trainers, a grey hoodie, black beanie hat and carried a black and white JD Sports bag.

    The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has announced new rules to make air shows safer, as part of a major review, external triggered by the Shoreham crash last August

    Eleven people were killed when a vintage plane piloted by Andy Hill from Hertfordshire came down on a busy road. 

    In the CAA's final report on the crash, it says former military jets will have to carry out manoeuvres at a higher altitude and displays will have to be further away from crowds.

    A 29-year-old man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a 13-year-old boy was killed in a crash in October.

    Jeremy Tombs, 13, had been a front seat passenger in his mother's Vauxhall Corsa when their car was hit on the A413 in Weedon by a VW Golf. The boy, a pupil at St Thomas Fremantle in Winslow, died at the scene.   

    The man, from Aylesbury, has also been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He has been bailed to appear before magistrates on 10 May.

    The MP for High Wycombe is welcoming the decision to turn Penn School in Buckinghamshire into a free school after it was sold to the Education Funding Agency.

    The special school near High Wycombe shut last summer despite a campaign by parents.

    Steve Baker (pictured) said: "I would dearly love for there to be special provision [for pupils with special needs] on that site... but the reality is the children who were there have all moved onto other provision, so it would be starting a new school from scratch. 

    "The problem that needs to be solved in Wycombe... is a shortage of mainstream secondary school places."

    A Hertfordshire police officer has been sacked from the force after being jailed for making indecent images of children.

    Brian Rouse, 48, from Watford, who was based at The Mount prison in Bovingdon, was jailed for four months in March after pleading guilty to four charges at Aylesbury Crown Court.

    He was dismissed from Hertfordshire Constabulary without notice at a public misconduct hearing on Wednesday. A police spokesman said his conduct "fell way below what is expected".

    Three people were injured in a three-car crash in Milton Keynes this morning.

    It happened at the junction of Portway and Knapp Gate in Shenley Church End at about 08:30.

    Firefighters were called to the scene where a man and two women had already left the vehicles. The seriousness of their injuries is not yet known.

    An unregistered tipper truck has been crushed as part of a crackdown on illegal fly-tipping in Hertfordshire.

    The action was taken by Hertsmere Borough Council, external after the occupants were arrested in Heathbourne Road, Bushey, on suspected fly-tipping offences. 

    They were bailed by police while the council continues its investigation.

    About 200 campaigners are expected to demonstrate with a dumper truck outside Aylesbury Vale District Council, external later to protest at plans to build 3,000 homes at Hampden Fields, on the edge of Aylesbury.

    Plans for the housing estate were rejected by the government last year because it would mean the villages of Stoke Mandeville and Weston Turville would join up.

    Developer Taylor Wimpey has now submitted new plans, leaving an extra 15m (50ft) strip of land so they won't actually join. Hampden Fields Action Group, external say it's essentially the same plan.

    Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton has been hit with a five-place grid penalty for Sunday's Chinese Grand Prix because of a gearbox change.

    The Hertfordshire driver already trails team-mate Nico Rosberg by 17 points after the German won the season's first two races.

    F1 rules say drivers must use a single gearbox for six consecutive races. Mercedes said the gearbox had sustained damage during the last race in Bahrain and the team changed it rather than risked a retirement.

    The mother of a pupil who used to attend Penn School in Buckinghamshire has said any decision for it to become a free school is "gutting".

    Amanda Burgess's son went to the special school near High Wycombe, which closed last summer, and now has to attend a school in Nottingham.

    She said: "To hear it's going to be a mainstream secondary [school] is gutting because that school was left in trust to children who were deaf and then developed for those with speech, language and communication difficulties. It will be really awful if no provision is put back on that site to support those children."

    A woman from Hertfordshire is campaigning for a ban on selling paracetamol to anyone aged under 18 to reduce teenage self-harming.

    The mum, who wishes to be known only as Vikki, is concerned about how easily her 16-year-old daughter Alicia has been able to buy the drug that she's used to harm herself with. There is currently no legal age restrictions on the purchase of paracetamol.

    So far her online petition has attracted more than 1,000 signatures. The government says retailers should exercise judgement in who they sell over-the-counter drugs to.

    Penn School in Buckinghamshire is going to become a free school after being sold to the Education Funding Agency, external, BBC Three Counties Radio understands.

    The special school near High Wycombe went into administration and closed last summer, affecting nearly 80 deaf and autistic students.

    The site went on the market in November and was listed for £6m. It is now understood it will become a free school to fulfil a need for school places in the area.
