This isn't a sight you normally see - the A6 with no traffic.

The fire service has said the road is likely to remain closed for the rest of the day as it continues to fight the blaze.

This is not only due to the number of fire appliances there, but also because vehicles on the site have been moved onto the A6 to get them clear of the fire.

The A6 is currently closed in both directions between the A507 and the Old Main Road junction in the Clophill area because of the Four Winds Industrial Estate fire.

Chief Fire Officer Paul Fuller told me this is because fire engines and other vehicles need to be parked on the road, which is the safest and only place for them.

We've just been told crews will remain at the scene overnight.
