    Justin Dealey

I've been talking to builders in the area of High Town in Luton after a teenage girl was killed when the car she was in crashed into a TV rental store in the town.

They say the car is currently "holding up the building" and it "could come down at any moment."

It means roads in the area could be closed for sometime until the building is made safe.

Following the crash a man was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

Officers are "particularly keen" to speak to a third person believed to have been in the car at the time.

  3. Transport secretary: 'Every single carriage' will be replaced in new franchise dealpublished at 10:52 British Summer Time 10 August 2016

    Kate Williams
    BBC Local Live

Transport Secretary Chris Grayling says the new franchise deal will mean the years of East Anglia's rail passengers being "under-loved" are over.

Referring to new carriages being planned under the deal, which covers a region stretching from Hertfordshire in the west to Suffolk in the east, said: "They will be state-of-the-art, there will be a big improvement in terms of capacity, there'll be more seats for passengers, so this should transform the passenger experience.

People about to get on a train

"There's no doubt the East Anglian region has been under-loved in rail terms for a long time and those people who use the service will say they haven't had new trains.

"Now they're going to get them and they're going to get them right across the network, and every single carriage is going to be replaced and I think it will transform the experience of people who travel on the trains in East Anglia."
