Five teenagers admit their part in an attack which left a football fan seriously ill.

A police jailed for nine years for sex offences had "extraordinary levels of perversion", a judge said.

Csongor Sandor, 30, who was living in Luton, admitted sex assaults against children.

Judge Kay said the case involved "extraordinary levels of perversion".

He said because of the risk Sandor posed, he was going to pass an extended prison sentence of 13 years and eight months.

Judge Kay told Sandor the custody element of the sentence was eight years and eight months and, once released, he would be subject to an extended period on licence of five years.

His name will also go on the sex offenders' register.

We'd like to confirm whether double murderer Avni Metra is likely to be extradited in 17 days or at least two months... but the Home Office is refusing to tell us.

Earlier today, Westminster Magistrates' Court heard the Albanian would be returned to his home country 17 days from today.

But subsequently, the Home Office said home secretary Amber Rudd has two months to make a final decision on his extradition.

We asked them to explain the discrepancy, but a spokesman said: "We wouldn’t be able to share that information I’m afraid."

What is certain is when he eventually returns to Albania, Metra will face a retrial over two counts of murder and firearms offences.

He was convicted of the charges in his absence after escaping to Britain in the 1990s, posing as an asylum seeker from Kosovo.

A company is fined £270,000 following a fire at a Black Country distillery that melted lamp-posts and saw residents evacuated.

A former Hungarian policeman who was living in Luton has been jailed for nearly nine years after committing sex offences on a young girl.

Csongor Sandor, 30, was living in Dallow Road in the town with his partner, when he took a vile photo on his smart phone as he assaulted the toddler in March of this year.

But in June, detectives in the town, acting on information they'd received, went to his home where he was arrested and the phone was seized.

Today, Luton Crown Court was told the phone still had on it the appalling picture of the child being sexually assaulted, that he had taken three months before.

Also found on the phone were other depraved images of youngsters that Sandor had stored.

Sandor pleaded guilty via a video link from the prison where he is being held to assaulting a child under 13 by penetration and three offences of making indecent photos of a child.

Bucks and MK Fire Service has told us crews using thermal imaging equipment are tackling the blaze at Alyesbury United's former ground in Buckingham Road.

The Home Office has confirmed the Secretary of State has two months to make a decision on the extradition of Avni Metra, who was found in a flat in Herfordshire after being on the run from authorities in Albania for 18 years.

That timeframe seems to contradict the 17 day figure given in court today. We've asked the Home Office for further clarification and will let you know their answer as soon as we have it.

Metra had been sentenced for the double murder of two brothers in his native country - after he had moved to England, entering the country as an asylum seeker.

A spokesman for Amber Rudd said the home secretary will consider the following issues:

• Whether the person is at risk of the death penalty
• Whether speciality arrangements are in place (these ensure the person may only be proceeded against in respect of the conduct for which extradition was ordered)
• Whether the person has previously been extradited to the UK from another country. 
• Whether the person has previously been transferred to the UK by the International Criminal Court

Metra currently remains in custody.

Today at an extradition hearing at Westminster Magistrates' Court, convicted double murdered Avni Metra remained neutral and gave very little reaction. 

The only time he showed any emotion was when Jude Margot Coleman summerised her arguments and he nodded his head.

He was wearing brown jeans and a light blue short sleeved shirt and spoke through an interpreter. 

In total the hearing lasted about half an hour. 

Football fan Nic Cruwys was left in a coma for three months after an unprovoked attack by five teenagers following Watford match against Wolverhampton Wanderers last year.

Today, five teenagers admitted their part in the assault.

Daniel Lloyd, of Longfellow Road, Dudley, Joseph Lister, of Palmer Close, Wednesfield and a 15-year-old, who cannot be named, admitted grievous bodily harm.

Robert Beech, of Springfield Road, Wednesfield, admitted threatening behaviour, while Ryan Meer, of Watling Street, Gailey, Staffordshire, pleaded guilty to affray.

All five were acquitted of causing grievous bodily harm with intent following a trial which lasted almost two weeks.

Avni Metra was granted British asylum in 1998 after he posed as a Kosovan refugee using the fake name of Abdul Mekra. 

He was convicted of killing two brothers by an Albanian court and sentenced in his absence to 25 year in jail. 

Wanted by Interpol, he managed to stay under the radar for 18 years and was eventually tracked down by journalist from the Daily Mail in his flat in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire in June. 

The Daily Mail says its "international investigation" tracked Avni Metra, external to his home in Borehamwood in a matter of days.

The paper said: "Police had no idea where he was and made little attempt to find him even though he was on an Interpol ‘most wanted’ list and had been arrested in London for wife-beating."

Reporters filmed the 53-year-old when they tracked him down after he falsely claimed to be a Kosovan refugee.

In a video on the paper's website, Metra said he's "Kosovan" and has "never" killed anyone.

Albanian double killer Avni Metra, whose extradition to his native country was ordered at Westminster Magistrates' Court today, was tracked down after an investigation by the Daily Mail, external.

Metra, from Borehamwood, was tracked down by the paper in a matter of days after being on the run from Interpol for 18 years.

When the reporters had tracked him down, they alerted police and he was arrested a few days later.

Today I was at Westminster Magistrates' Court  to hear that Avni Metra, 53, is to be extradited to his native Albania where he will face trial for the double murder of two brothers. 

He has already been convicted in absentia and sentenced to 25 years, but has the right to a retrial.

Metra came to the country 18 years ago claiming to be an asylum seeker and lived in Borehamwood. 

He will be surrendered to the Albanian authorities 17 days from today.
