  12. 'Everton a work in progress'published at 14:59 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2016

    Watford 3-2 Everton

    Terry Butcher
Ex-England captain at the Emirates for BBC Radio 5 live

It is a work in progress there. They had a blistering start but have hit a wall and not recovered. He (Ronald Koeman) said he wants them to be proactive rather than reactive.

When it was 3-1, they had nothing to lose and went for it, but should have done that before. He left out Ross Barkley as a lesson to everyone, but the marking was poor for the second and third goals.

It doesn't matter what you do if you leave space at the back, they will score goals. He needs to get little things right before talking about stamping his identity.

Here's some of your views on Watford fielding 11 nationalities against Everton today

Jon Hind: Who cares where players are from? If English players were good and affordable enough they'd play.

FionnArsenal: Don't need more homegrown. English players need to diversify and play in other leagues. Germany have players all over the world.

Simon Jordan: Homegrown rule is a ridiculous suggestion. If you're good enough, you play. No matter where you're from.

Kevin Wood, from First Family Entertainment, said: "Stacey’s performance as Fairy Bowbells received a fantastic response from our audiences yesterday.
