    House by level crossing

If a bridge replaces the Marston Road level crossing near Lidlington, in Bedfordshire, where a man died yesterday, Barbara Frost will lose her home.

She's lived in the property next to the barrier for about 30 years and has been told that Network Rail are looking to compulsory purchase her home so a bridge can be built on her land.

She told me that because of this she "doesn't know what the future will be" and she "doesn't know how to deal with it".

She's currently in limbo as she "can't sell to anyone" and she's "not in any position at all to go any further."

The crossing is due to be replaced with a bridge because of safety concerns.
