    Earlier we told you that Bucks and MK fire service were responding to a blaze at a flat in Aylesbury.

    They now say it has been extinguished and one man is being cared for by the South Central Ambulance Service for breathing in smoke.

  3. Man taken to hospital after disturbance at St Albans restaurantpublished at 11:26 British Summer Time 7 August 2017

    Hertfordshire Police were called to a St Albans restaurant on Saturday night following reports of a disturbance.

    Officers were called to Wagamama's in St Christopher's Place amid reports of a fight between a man and three others at about 20:15.

    Officers say they detained one man, before realising he was unwell.

    He was taken to hospital by ambulance where he is said to be in a stable condition.

    The BBC understands Ipswich Town, external are trying to sign Rangers forward Martyn Waghorn in time for tomorrow's Carabao Cup, external (aka League Cup) tie at Luton Town.

    The 27-year-old former Sunderland player is believed to be surplus to requirements at Ibrox, and is likely to cost around the £1m mark.

    If the move goes ahead Waghorn will be reunited with his ex-Rangers team-mate Joe Garner, who swapped Glasgow for Suffolk earlier this summer.

    Luton got their League Two campaign off to a flyer, with an 8-2 win at home to Yeovil on Saturday.
