    The FA in Birmingham has started a fund in memory of Joel Richards, the Black Country teenage referee killed in a Tunisia terror attack. 

    The 19-year-old died alongside his uncle Adrian and grandfather Patrick.

    The ambulance service says it was called to Truggist Lane near Berkswell Station, Solihull, at 13:13 to reports of a train hitting a pedestrian.

    Services from Birmingham to Coventry have been affected. Disruption could last until 15:30.

    Delays are expected to last until around 15:30 after what National Rail has described as an 'incident' - attended by emergency services - between Birmingham International and Coventry.

    It says some services may be cancelled or diverted via Stafford where possible.

    The new Wolves head coach Walter Zenga will outline his plans for the team at a news conference today.

    The Italian has replaced Kenny Jackett, who was sacked on Friday night by the club's new Chinese owners. 

    Zenga played 58 times for Italy as a goalkeeper. He has previously managed a number of clubs including Red Star Belgrade and Sampdoria.

    The news conference is due to start at about 14:00 so we'll bring you more on this later this afternoon.

    'Spurious' calls to the 101 non-emergency police hotline include complaints over botch-job haircuts, piles of poo and loud ice cream van chimes. 

    The calls were made last month during what the West Midlands force has labelled a "summer spike".

    Callers have also complained about wonky internet connections and asked for other phone numbers.

    A spokesperson said: "We take literally hundreds of spurious calls a month…these take up valuable police time and delay us dealing with genuine police matters. Many of the queries could be resolved with a simple internet search so our message is 'think before you call'."

    We're told that any delays caused by new roadworks in Coseley this morning will be worth it. 

    The £1.5m programme is due to start on Birmingham New Road this morning, external and will last until next year.

    The council says the work will reduce congestion, improve the road for cyclists and pedestrians, and address safety concerns following several accidents.  

    Areas affected include:

    • Ivyhouse Lane will be closed until 7 August, with diversions along Tunnel Street, Green Street, Mason Street, Birmingham New Road and vice versa
    • Havacre Lane will be closed from 8 August to 4 September, with diversions along Fullwoods End, Ivyhouse Lane, Birmingham New Road, Shaw Road, Biddings Lane and vice versa

    Seven people were arrested and 15 off-road bikes seized by police in a series of raids., external

    Addresses in Coventry and Birmingham were targeted following complaints about quad bikes and scramblers being ridden illegally.

    The seven, aged between 17 and 30, were arrested on suspicion of a range of offences, including causing a public nuisance, criminal damage and possession of drugs.

    A fund in memory of a 19-year-old referee who was killed with his grandfather and uncle in a terror attack in Tunisia has been launched.

    Joel Richards, from Wednesbury, died alongside uncle Adrian Evans, grandfather Patrick Evans and 35 others in Sousse in 2015.

    The Birmingham County FA announced the Joel Richards Legacy Fund - a bursary for young coaches, referees and volunteers - at an event in his honour.
