    A motorist had a lucky escape after his car overturned and he was left trapped for half an hour.

    A resident on Stream Road in Kingswinsford, Dudley, called emergency services just before 05:30 on Thursday saying they heard a "massive bang".

    The driver, who was the only passenger, suffered back injuries and was taken to hospital, said West Midlands Police.

    The fire and ambulance services also attended and the road was closed off.

    No other vehicle was involved in the collision, which was near Bromley Lane.

  4. Charges for drop-offs at Birmingham Airport 'among the worst'published at 08:59 British Summer Time 11 August 2016

    Charges for dropping people off at Birmingham Airport are some of the most expensive in the UK, according to the RAC. 

    They say it costs £4.70 to park for up to 60 minutes at the site.

    London Luton airport came out worst, with a 40-minute stay costing a minimum of £7.

    Police in Birmingham are still looking for a man who robbed a woman and then stole another man's car, which had his pet a dog inside it, external

    The incident happened in Ward End at about 12:45 yesterday afternoon, West Midlands Police say.   

    The pet, a Siberian husky called Bo, was apparently let out of the car and is now at home.
