A man is in critical condition after being stabbed in Birmingham city centre.

An area was cordoned off while emergency services recovered the body. The West Midlands force said the death was not being treated as suspicious.

Yuusuf Warsame's family run a Halal butcher's shop on Coventry Road in Small Heath, not far from Birmingham City's home ground St Andrew's.
We know Yuusuf went to the Nelson Mandela school and was sleeping in a third-floor flat when the grenade went off in Gothenburg.
He died from his injuries.

Four World War Two medals were stolen from a veteran's home just days after he died.
Sid Rollason, from Bilston, in the Black Country, died at the age of 100 on 12 August.
His family are appealing on social media for the return of the medals.
Mr Rollason's family said he had fought for his country through Africa, Italy and Greece.
They are not sure of everything that was taken but they do know the medals, which were on display, were stolen.
West Midlands Police has told us it believes the burglary happened between 09:00 on 18 August and 07.30 on 21 August. The force is appealing for information.

Downing Street insists there's been no change in policy on elected mayors, following an article in The Times newspaper saying the PM was looking to, external "ditch the plans".
The Prime Minister's official spokeswoman said the government would continue to engage with local areas on devolution. She said that, as under David Cameron, where local authorities didn't want to be part of a deal, the government would not force them.

The Gentoo penguin colony at The National Sea Life Centre in Birmingham is currently undergoing a bit of makeover.
The birds have started a two-week moulting phase which sees their feathers fall out pretty much all at once.
“During this process, the special waxes the penguins usually create to waterproof their feathers aren’t produced so the birds stay on land and forgo the regular dives and swims they’re so renowned for," said Naomi Bird, penguin keeper at the centre.
A fire that led to explosions being heard across the Black Country is being treated as arson, police confirm.

Fire crews were called to Majors Service Limited early yesterday morning.
People living nearby reported hearing several small explosions as the fire spread to 14 heavy goods vehicles and nine shipping containers.
At its height, about 50 firefighters tackled the blaze.
