  6. Analysis: 'Blues takeover is about stability'published at 14:09 British Summer Time 17 October 2016

    Richard Wilford
    BBC WM Sport

The drawn-out takeover of Birmingham City was completed overnight, with Trillion Trophy Asia (TTA) rewarded for its patience after being the preferred bidders for almost 16 months.

New majority owner Paul Suen will not be hands-on and there will not be a sudden opening of the financial floodgates - this takeover is about stability.

With that in mind, team manager Gary Rowett, who has met representatives of TTA, remains in charge and will likely have an increased budget in January.

Director Panos Pavlakis, who has guided the club through receivership with the support of backroom staff at St Andrew's, appears poised to assume a more formal role.
